I work for Jones Lang LaSalle Americas as a Senior Project Manager, Project & Development Services in Orlando, Florida.

What got you interested in surveying?
Read ‘Alice Coleman – Utopia on Trial’ about social structure and the built environment. Surveying provided a wider scope for later specialization.

What do you enjoy most about your career in surveying?
I enjoy the fieldwork, gathering information, and satisfaction with the finished product.

What interesting projects have you been involved in while as surveyor?
Acting as a Negotiator in Land Acquisition for Highway improvement. Valuation of commercial resort properties for overseas REIT investments, Hurricane Damage Assessment. Expert Witness for Testimony on the Hotel Tourism Industry and Timeshare market in the Caribbean region for the Eastern Caribbean Circuit Court.

Have you worked on any international projects or obtained any overseas travel experience?
Since graduating in 1993 my overseas travel experience included working on economic/ market & feasibility studies in the Caribbean for new and existing resort properties in Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Lucia, The Bahamas, Bermuda and the USA.

What are your future career ambitions?
Consulting project management work on large commercial developments .

What does RICS mean to you?
To me, my RICS credentials is an ‘international passport’ to the global world of real estate. It is the authority behind the high level of professional and ethical service I deliver worldwide to clients and customers. As an RICS trained assessor, it is further experience and a pleasure to contribute to the growth of our profession.
