RICS Middle East The United Arab Emirates (Dubai) office is the regional headquarters for the RICS in the Middle East and Africa. The office represents the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Africa.
RICS has 1,154 members in the Middle East, spread over the different categories of membership:
622 qualified members - these members can add the letters ‘MRICS’ (Member of RICS) or ‘FRICS’ (Fellow of RICS) after their name
191 RICS trainees - potential members who are preparing for their APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) Final Assessment
314 RICS students - professionals who are studying on an RICS accredited degree
Combining global and local support to members, we work to:
Raise the status of the chartered surveying profession in the Middle East markets
Encourage, establish and develop high educational and professional standards across the region
Advise local authorities on regulation and policy in a rapidly evolving market.
Represent the profession regionally
"The UAE has seen a four-fold increase in RICS members since mid-2003. The value that RICS members bring to the construction and property
markets has been widely known throughout the UK for over a century and clearly more and more companies outside these traditional boundaries are
employing chartered and technical members of RICS as their attributes become more widely known. RICS membership has become the benchmark by which
construction and property professionals measure themselves on the international scene."
Daniel Alcon MRICS Chairman RICS UAE
